Seeing as how the gas my WRX uses just went up to 3.33/gal here in SD, the thought had crossed my mind to try an oil burner I could make my own fuel for. I know cars well, and have rebuilt a few gas engines. However, I know crap-all about diesel other than what I've read in my autoshop textbook. I see the 300D come up quite often in discussions of good, cheap used diesels, and there are several good-looking examples for sale here in SD. What are your guys' thoughts on the matter? Any models/features to seek out? Avoid? Any years better than the others?
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
